Hybrid Symposium on Holy War In World History – October 23, 2021
The Fall 2021 symposium of the New England Regional World History Association (NERWHA) will be a hybrid online and Zoom discussion of recent pedagogical and scholarly approaches to the various forms of holy war waged across the globe over the past 5,000 years. Held between October 15 and 23, its schedule will allow participants to reflect on this historical phenomenon before engaging in a general discussion on the symposium’s last day. Registrants will be able to access the keynote address on 15 October and two complementary papers on the 16th. Reviews of the three papers will appear on the 19th, and the authors’ responses to the reviews will be online on the 20th. On Saturday, 23 October, a Zoom discussion open to all registrants will commence at 11:00 AM and end at 12:30, Eastern time.
Registration at nerwha.org is free and open to all, but registration is necessary for access to the papers and participation in the general discussion.
